The government advice stipulates that members of the public can leave the house for one form of exercise a day. GOV. UK - 23 March 2020
From the 15th March I walked the same local route every day. Occasionally I would take photographs with my phone - a scenic view or a reminder that all was not as it should be.
I realised I was unintentionally documenting a very small view of a very big event. It is perhaps only in these small moments we can understand the bigger world. Without knowing why, I continued to take photographs and only used a phone camera. I was more interested in the untold narrative than the quality of the images.
They document lockdown from a very personal viewpoint - from the initial food shortages to a relaxation of the measures. There is nothing staged or profound - they are just a collection of images that can be viewed in any order.
The photographs tell a story but it is up to you what happens.
They tell one story and many stories.
